iPhone Secret Codes and Hacks - IPhone Secret codes are available here, these codes will work on the iPhone 3 or 4, most of them are actually service codes which do not work in all countries and regions.

*3001#12345#*	Enters Field mode which allows you to access most of the hidden settings and functions of your iPhone
*#06#	Display the IMEI of your iPhone, as always this is the standard code for all brands of phones.
*225#	Displays the account balance for postpaid contracts
*777#	Displays the account balance for prepaid accounts
*646#	Displays the remaining minutes available
*3282#	Get your data usage information
*729	Options to make payments
611	Dials customer service, (114 in RSA for Vodacom)

There you have it, all the codes available for the iPhone. Much like Android there really are not that many interesting secret codes since the operating system can and does expose the bulk of the features already. Android secret codes and hacks are fun and even useful if you need to troubleshoot some problems on your phone, but they are not as impressive at most other phones since the phones can already do pretty much everything but there are still some codes which are not always general knowledge. Obviously these codes are not really secret and don't do anything amazing but since people commonly refer to them as secret codes it seems fair for me to do the same.

Entering these codes on android devices should work regardless of the hardware platform.

*#06#	IMEI	Standard IMEI command if you are trying to find out what your Android devices IMEI number is
*#*#4636#*#*	Testing Mode - Phone Setting	Displays the hidden testing menu for android which provides details on application usage, battery health and status, Wifi information and general network information. If you suspect that you battery is giving problems this is the best place to check.  You can also force certain network choices here, for example if you wanted to force your Android t use only 3G or GSM you could do it from the Phone Info menu
*#*#7262626#*#*	Field Test	Not supported by all units, will display a list of options for you to test and there is an option to log the information as well.
**05***#	PUK unlock	If you need to unlock you android phone this command can be run from the emergency calling screen , you will of course need your PUK code which you came with your Sim card alternatively contact your service provider to obtain the code
*#*#8351#*#*	Dialer Log Enabled	Records your last 20 calls and stores them on your phone, you can find the data in the following /data/data/com.android.voicedialer/app_logdir
*#*#8350#*#*	Dialer Log Disabled	Disables the above mentioned call logging

The two most useful things here is the ability to confirm that you Android device battery is still working properly and being able to force your Android to stay on 3G without falling back to EDGE or GPRS if the signal is better. Blackberry secret codes for hidden menus work a bit differently to all other manufacturers since you don't use the *#code# sequence but rather activate most of the codes by holding the ALT key. As always it is right to point out that these are not some magic Blackberry hacks just the codes to access the hidden menu systems which people commonly refer to as the Blackberry secret codes. To use these codes you just have to enter the key sequence as specified.

Hidden Functions (HOLD ALT)

Code	Function
ALT+NMLL	Changes the signal meter from the standard bars to a decibel display, entering the code again will revert back to the bars
ALT+LSHIFT+H	The Techinical information menu, if you are trying to get support or help you will probably need the information displayed here
ALT+VALD	Validates the address book, can only be used in the address book
ALT+RBLD	Forces the address book to rebuild, can only be used in the address book
*#06#	Displays the IMEI (home screen)
ALT+RBVS	Used in the browser to view the page source code, useful if you are developing applications
ALT+LGLG	Displays the devices event log, if you are struggling to get BES/BIS working the information here can be very useful
ALT+SHIFT+DEL	Soft reset a blackberry device, this is not a format or hard reset. Just a reboot

Smart System Codes (Type these in a message box for example while composing a new e-mail)

A lot of the Blackberry Secret codes are actually shortcuts to the hidden menu areas that people are simply not aware of.

• Name: Decibel meter.
• Description/purpose: Displays your signal strength in decibels, instead of bars.
• Process: Hold "Alt" and press "N", "M", "L", "L" (repeat to reverse the effect).


• Name: Address Book file verification.
• Description/purpose: Checks the data in your Address Book for inconsistencies.
• Process: In the Address Book, hold "Alt" and press "V", "A", "L", "D".


• Name: Address Book data structure rebuild.
• Description/purpose: Forces a data structure re-build in the Address Book...
• Process: In the Address Book, hold "Alt" and press "R", "B", "L", "D".


• Name: View source code.
• Description/purpose: Displays the source code of a Web page.
• Process: In the Browser, hold "Alt" and press "R", "B", "V", "S".


• Name: Help Me! menu.
• Description/purpose: Provides crucial technical information about your device, for when seeking technical support or help in forums...
• Process: Hold "Alt" and (left) "shift", then press "H".


• Name: IMEI display.
• Description/purpose: Displays your device's international mobile equipment identity (IMEI - your serial number) on-screen... Also works from all other GSM handsets.
• Process: Type "*", "#", "0", "6", "#" on the Home screen.


• Name: "Soft" reset.
• Description/purpose: Performs a "soft" reset of your device; the equivalent of doing a "battery pull" (ie. Removing the battery for a few seconds).
• Process: Press-and-hold "Alt", then press-and-hold (left) "shift", then press-and-hold "Del".


• Name: Event Log.
• Purpose: Displays event logs of all the system-level events that occur on your device...
• Process: Hold "Alt" and press "L", "G", "L", "G".


All of these secrets have been tested on the BlackBerry 8800 and BlackBerry Curve 8300; I would expect them to work on all keyboard-featured BlackBerry devices... The above secrets may or may not work on BlackBerry Pearl series handsets.

In some cases, you will need to be on the Home screen when you enter these codes...
